EIS is a wholly owned subsidiary of Prüfungsverband deutscher Banken e.V.. Its purpose is to take the action envisaged in connection with deposit guarantee schemes.


LEGAL FORM

EIS (Einlagensicherungs- und Treuhandgesellschaft mbH) is a limited liability company entered in the commercial register of Cologne Local Court (HRB 7291). The civil law framework within which it operates is determined by its legal form and articles of association.


EXECUTIVE BODIES

The company's managing directors are its executive bodies.

Their duties are set forth in the schedule of responsibilities.


STRUCTURE

The organizational structure of EIS consists of:

  • the managing directors

  • the back office

  • the departments and their sections


The structure of EIS reflects its size and scope of services.

Alongside the managing directors and back office, there are three departments and the sections they oversee. The departments are:

  • ​Bank resolution​

  • Depositor compensation / specification

  • Debt collection and fiduciary transactions


These operating units are superintended by department and section heads.
