Resolution of banks and assistance with insolvency proceedings
In many cases, insolvent banks lack the human resources required for winding-up or resolution purposes. EIS therefore offers to support insolvency administrators with discharging this duty, which also serves the interests of the deposit guarantee schemes in particular.
In this connection, EIS can assign experienced employees who are familiar with the relevant bank and resolution-related tasks.
The common goal is to realise the remaining assets in the best possible way and thus maximise the dividend for the benefit of all creditors. As a consequence of the compensation payments, the receivables are transferred to the deposit guarantee schemes. Maximising the returns to the guarantee funds by way of a large dividend is therefore in the interests of the credit institutions that are responsible for funding the deposit guarantee schemes as well.
