Depositor compensation
The individual guarantee schemes are responsible for paying compensation in respect of deposits once a compensation claim has been established. EIS is engaged to perform this task on behalf of the schemes. Compensation is paid under both the statutory deposit guarantee pursuant to the Deposit Guarantee Act (EinSiG) and a voluntary deposit guarantee according to the statutes of the guarantee schemes. The depositor receives the compensation sum from a single agency.
PROCEDURE
First, the data submitted by the bank in the reporting file are examined and evaluated. These are the data that form the basis of the compensation. EIS is able to comply with the statutory time limits set forth in EinSiG.
